SCI maintains memberships in the ASSE (American Society of Safety Engineers), ARCO (Associated Reporting Companies) and the NFPA (National Fire Protection Association).

  • Physical and virtual inspections nationwide.
  • Annual/Semi-Annual/Quarterly Service Visits- By pairing the insured with an inspector, over time we facilitate a collaborative relationship to reduce loss frequency and severity.
  • Recommendation Compliance Visits- We auto-generate internal orders for recommendation compliance visits, if desired.

  • Telephone Vetting/Inspections: If underwriting is unclear whether a physical inspection is warranted or underwriting guidelines do not require a visit, SCI has a dedicated staff utilizing the Internet, satellite imagery and phone interviews to provide you current relevant data. This same staff performs traditional phone surveys.

Often insureds are difficult to reach, which generally results in an inspection being returned for non-compliance. We go the extra mile to assure that reports are completed. Our rate of return for insured non-compliance is an extraordinary .08% in an industry where 7-10% returns are the norm.

How do we accomplish this? We try harder. We make our phone calls per your guidelines. We get the agent involved, attempt to obtain cell phone and email addresses, and we use the Internet.

Consider the direct and indirect costs of non-productive inspections on your underwriting and support staff, and it makes even more sense to use an inspection service that gets inspections completed 99.2% of the time.

  • Quality – SCI Inspections consistently receives the highest recommendations from our clients for the quality of our reports. We will work with your firm to develop reports to fit your specific needs and budget. Our management team is composed of individuals having significant field experience, underwriting or risk management backgrounds.
  • Communication– We know the disposition of every inspection order. SCI inspectors are required to provide us with routine updates, and notify us of any issues or potential delays. We alert you immediately and proceed according to your directions.
  • Time Service – Our average turnaround for physical inspections is 20 days from the date of order. We can readily perform expedited service upon request (an additional fee may apply). We commit to completing all inspections within 30 days from the order date. In the unlikelihood of your inspection order being delayed greater than 30 days (less than 0.02% of our inspections), our staff will notify you via email of the reason for delay and our action plan for completing the survey. Phone surveys are completed in most circumstances within 10 days of order.
